Dear Parents and Guardians
We are off to a rigorous start this 2010 year as we continue to move forward in helping your child reach their academic goals! Every child at Dr. J. A. Garcia Elementary has the potential to "reach for the stars" towards excellence. Together we can make a difference in your child's education! Your continued support is important and very much appreciated. Our students need to know that we will only expect the best from them!
Our students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th are preparing for the upcoming TAKS assessments in March and April. On March 3rd, our students in 4th grade will be taking the TAKS Writing test. Our 4th graders are preparing for this upcoming state assessment everyday and assistance is extended during our after school tutorials. All students in grades 3 -5 stay for after school tutorials on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Thank you for supporting our tutorial progam this school year!
